How to Send a Fart Sound to Someone

There are two reliable ways to get a fart noise onto someone else's phone:

• Send the link. Text them fartsound.net. The big 💨 button on the homepage plays a random fart the moment they tap it — no app, no sign-up, nothing to install. This is the classic "random link that leads to a fart" gag.
• Send the file. Download any clip as an MP3 from the soundboard and attach it to a message, chat or email. It plays inside the conversation, which works even if they never open a link.

For a text tone, save the MP3 and set it as a notification sound in your phone's sound settings. Assigning it to one specific contact is the version that ages best.

Set a Fart to Go Off Later

The most effective prank is a hands-free one, because you are nowhere near the phone when it happens. The fart timer lets you choose a clip and a delay — five seconds, ten seconds, a minute, ten minutes, or any custom number — and plays it automatically when the countdown ends. Set it, put the phone down, walk away.

Leave the browser open and the screen awake for the most reliable results; a sleeping device can delay the sound until the tab wakes back up.

Prank It Properly (and Harmlessly)

A fart prank is funny because it costs nobody anything. Keep it that way:

• Read the room first. A relaxed group will laugh. An exam hall, a place of worship, a hospital or a tense meeting will not.
• Keep the volume moderate. You want a surprise, not a startle. Loud enough to be heard, not loud enough to make someone jump.
• Own up quickly. Half the payoff is admitting it once the room reacts. Letting someone else take the blame turns a joke into something meaner.
• Never target strangers or anyone who might genuinely find it distressing.
